Definition

Trisomy 14 (+14) is an uncommon numerical abnormality described in lymphoproliferative disorders (some subtypes of CLL and non-Hodgkin lymphoma) and rarely in myeloid neoplasms. Because chromosome 14 carries the IGH locus, the presence of +14 is often assessed together with structural translocations involving IGH.
