OncoGenetics Fusion Panel

Definition

RNA-based NGS fusion panels screen for known and novel breakpoints in genes such as ALK, ROS1, RET, NTRK1/2/3, FGFR1-3 and MET; these fusions determine response to tyrosine kinase inhibitor therapy, particularly in NSCLC. In validation studies, concordance rates with other methods are 97% for ALK and 95% for ROS1.

Gene/region examined

ALK, BRAF, BRD4, CLIP4, EGFR, ERG, ETV1, ETV4, ETV6, EWSR1, FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3, MET, MYB, NOTCH2, NRG1, NTRK1, NTRK2, NTRK3, NUTM1, PDGFRA, PDGFRB, RET, ROS1, TERT, TFE3
